Adding a CYMA Module to an Existing Installation

  1. All users must exit the CYMA program
  2. At the Server or Host machine
    1. Open System Manager / System / Register and copy the serial numbers and validation codes into an Excel spreadsheet
    2. Exit CYMA
    3. Delete the registration files from the main CYMA directory: SM_INFO.dat and SM_INFD2.dat
    4. Go to Control Panel, Add Remove or Programs and Features (verbiage dependent upon operating system in use)
    5. Find CYMA on the Installed programs list and highlight
    6. Choose change and then modify (CYMA must be previously installed)
    7. Check only the module you wish to install from the list that appears
    8. Follow standard installation shield and finish
    9. Open CYMA and System Manager / System / Register.
    10. Copy the serial numbers and validation codes from your Excel spreadsheet
  3. At the workstation
    1. Go to Control Panel, Add Remove or Programs and Features (verbiage dependent upon operating system in use)
    2. Find CYMA on the Installed programs list and highlight
    3. Choose change and then modify (CYMA must be previously installed)
    4. Check only the module you wish to install
    5. Follow standard installation guide and finish

Special Note:
Because every environment is different; If you launch your CYMA application and the newly installed module does not appear on the list

  1. Exit the CYMA program, go to your program
  2. Go into the main CYMA directory, locate a file named:  sm_menu.dat (FMS) or NP_menu.dat (NFP) and delete the file.  The default main CYMA directory is typically one of the following unless, you the user, have changed the primary directly:  C:\CYMA\CYMA4
  3. Go back into CYMA

Registration of the module:

  1. Obtain new license key and validation code from CYMA; all addition modules licensing is sent via email and also via US Mail.
  2. All users must be logged out except for the system administrator
  3. Change your active module to System Manager
  4. Click on the System menu
  5. Click on the Register menu
  6. Click on the grid line beneath the last module you see registered
  7. Enter the Serial Number (without dashes)
  8. Tab and enter the new validation code
  9. Click on OK.
