CYMA Version 16 Preview:
Human Resources and Employee Self-Service

Human Resources Enhancements

Import HR Enrollment Changes
Open enrollment time is quickly approaching and HR staff will have the task of enrolling, changing, and updating enrollment information across all employees. A new CYMA General Import type in Version 16 allows users to add and/or update enrollment information across all HR Benefits and all employees. Easily import benefit changes (Coverage Type, Elected Amounts, Enroll Date, Drop Date, etc.) from a spreadsheet and update employees quickly.

Additional Human Resources Enhancements

  • Employees who are terminated but have "Needs Final Check" checked are now included in the "HR to Payroll" update processĀ
  • Added a "View Detail" button on the OSHA Inquiry dialog which will open the appropriate OSHA case file
  • Added a Go to Employee button option during the enrollment process in HR Maintain Benefits

Employee Self-Service Enhancements (ESS)

Employee Self-Service Password Changes
As part of the new password system in CYMA Version 16, the "Change Password Days" feature in System Manager can also control password expirations in Employee Self-Service.

Client Level Transaction Codes
Some CYMA customers who provide Payroll Services use Transaction Classification codes to indicate the Client's Job Number or another Client Specific Identifier. CYMA Version 16 adds a "Use Transaction Class Codes from the Client" option to Payroll Maintain Configuration. If this option is selected, Transaction Classification codes can be specified at the client level (PEOs, Fiscal / Employer Agents and Staffing companies) ensuring only those codes can be used for that client on all payroll entry dialogs and ESS entry pages.

More Control of Check Display
Employee Self-Service customers have requested greater control over when Payroll checks are visible online. In Version 16, users now have total control over when employees can physically see checks inside ESS. The number of days before or after the check date when employees can first see their check stubs can now be specified (by Employee Status) in CYMA Payroll.

  • Added "Client Name" as a variable for dynamic forms values in the "Email HR" section of ESS.
  • All ESS Time Entry pages now take into account the "Allow Payout Greater Than Accrued" options (Yes, No & Warning) defined on Payroll Configuration for accrual pay features.
  • ESS checks now display Accrual Balances as they were at the time of the original check.
