CYMA Year End Details

2009 marks one of the most active years for payroll updates that CYMA has seen in quite some time.   Despite the many changes, CYMA has continued to conveniently provide updates to all of our active Software Maintenance Subscribers. As the end of 2009 approaches, CYMA is already making the necessary preparations and developing the required updates to ensure that the 2009 to 2010 transition is seamless for CYMA customers. The information contained below provides information to guide in your preparations for year-end.

State Changes released after the 2009 Payroll update: 

  1. 5/5/09 – Arizona, California, Colorado, New York, state and local tax rate changes
  2. 05/27/09 – West Virginia made changes to the State Unemployment tables and North Dakota changed its state tax rates
  3. 07/10/09 – Louisiana & Tennessee, changed state tax rates
  4. 08/05/09 – Wisconsin, changed state tax rates
  5. 09/21/09 – New Jersey updated the SIT Calculations for wages paid on or after 10/1/09

2010 Payroll Update Supported Versions: The 2010 Payroll update will support two versions of CYMAIV, Version 10 and Version 11.  If you are on an older version of CYMAIV and you have Payroll, please contact CYMA today. Payroll update release and delivery: The 2010 Payroll update will be released the first few days of January and will be made available to Software Maintenance Subscribers via the CYMA website at www.cyma.com.  If you require the update on CD, please call CYMA today at 800-292-2962 to order your copy.  The CD is $10 + shipping & handling charges.

W2 Printing options: CYMA Payroll offers the ability to print W2’s onto blank regular paper, blank perforated paper or pre-printed forms. If you wish to process your W2’s onto perforated paper or pre-printed forms, please visit the CYMA Forms website at www.cymaforms.com or call (800) 449-6533 to order your forms today.

Electronic Filing of W2’s – CYMA provides the ability to process W2’s electronically directly from Payroll.  This feature is found under Process, Year-End, Print W2’s and 1099’s.  The dialogue window offers the opportunity to choose the form and the method of processing.

W2 Processing – You can benefit from having the entire W2 processing task completed through the State Payroll Forms program.  Choose Process, Payroll forms from your Payroll menu.  The State Payroll forms program, provides the option of W2 processing.  The organization that manages this software will process, print, file and mail your W2’s for you as low as .99 cents per employee.

1099 Printing -- 1099’s must still be printed onto pre-printed forms.  Order your forms today at www.cymaforms.com or by calling (800) 449-6533.

Early W2 Printing - If you must print your W2’s prior to the payroll update release date, please watch for our announcement regarding early availability of the W2 formats.
